Since 2000, a group of women at Lochmoor Club has organized a charity golf event to raise money for cancer research and support. For the first 16 years, the funds were donated to the Susan G Komen Foundation. In 2017, the decision was made to keep the funds raised closer to home, and the Henry Ford St. John Hospital Patient Support Fund was chosen as our recipient. LFC has raised over $250,000 for needy cancer patients and their families living in Metro Detroit. The Henry Ford St. John Patient Support Fund assists cancer patients with financial burdens such as copays for medical bills, utility bills, transportation, assistance with prescription payments, etc.
